We received a quote and references from Geno then went about the task of calling several of the references. We could not find one person who would say "anything" negatively about the services Geno's Painting provided. All the references raved about the cleanliness, responsiveness and quality work provided. Geno, owner, is very easy to work with and stays on top of the crew to ensure they are doing an excellent job.
We contracted Geno in July 2004 to paint and repair the stucco and wood trim of our home. Geno's crew used 50 tubes of quality caulking, non-rusting nails and whole pieces of lumber were replaced with whole pieces of lumber. The crew didn't just "patch in" a piece of lumber to replace a rotting area as was done before we owned the home. The crew arrived each day promptly at 8:00 am and worked until 9:00 pm. They were very careful with bushes, flower gardens and cleaned up meticulously when the job was done. We would hire Geno again without hesitation and highly recommend for not only painting but any General Contractor requirements. |

In May/June 2004, I hired KC to repair some of my brick pavers and apply a sealant to the pavers. Reasons for the Warning: 1.) Owner - Kenneth Calverley. He does not return calls after the job is complete. Once he has his check, he sees no reason to communicate with the customer, especially if there is a problem. I you have a problem, he is very argumentative and abrasive. 2.) Terrible workmanship! 3.) They destroyed surrounding landscaping. 4.) They were not equipped for the job. The had to borrow a lot of my equipment, tools, etc. 5.) His stationary/card says "KC Masonry Takes Great Pride in Our Customer Relations and Workmanship". They do just the opposite, what a joke!!! 6.) One of the worst experiences you could have with a contractor. 7.) I contacted Ken 2-3 times in April/May 2005 with no response from him. |

Rochester Powerwashing Service We had an absolutely miserable experience with Rochester Powerwashing Service. It took them 3 months to powerwash our deck, replace a few boards and reseal the deck. On several occasions they said they would be at our house for the day and never showed up. We essentially lost the use of our deck for the summer of 2003. This summer (2004) the seal coat is peeling off even on the new boards that were replaced last year. Now they won’t even return my calls. The owner/salesman is very slick and will tell you that we are just very difficult customers. He will give you a good sales pitch, but that is about all he is good for. Avoid this contractor at all costs.
